You must join or be a member of the AMA to become a member of Columbia RC. The AMA is the largest model aviation association, representing a membership of more than 175,000 from every walk of life, income level and age group. It is the chartering organization for more than 2,500 model airplane clubs across the country. AMA offers its chartered clubs official contest sanction, insurance, and assistance in getting and keeping flying sites.

Columbia RC welcomes new members.  After joining the AMA (link provided at the top), download the application below to your computer by right clicking on the file and choose; “File, save as.”  Open the file, print it and fill out the form.  Mail it along with a check and a self addressed stamped envelope for the first year’s dues to the address on the form.  Then get ready to fly. If you have trouble downloading the file, contact us (email addressess are on home page) and we will get one to you as soon as possible. They are also available at our flying field.

Our yearly dues are now $75 for a new member and $65 for members who are renewing from the previous year. We are still lower than most clubs in the area.

We currently don’t have an online payment in place (like PayPal or Venmo) but are working on it and will post a link when it has been set up.
